Amelanchier is a known as the June berry, has naturalised from Northern Europe. Amelanchier, or known as snowy mespilus in spring produces bronzed tinged new leaves, which turn rich red in Autumn. The berries are reddish purple, (suitable for jam making) and birds love them.
