Norway maple, Crimson King is a slower growing, deciduous tree, with a height of up to 12m and a spread of 8m fully grown.

Norway maple is a splendid deep red foliage tree, with broadly oval, palmate 3-5 lobed ruby red leaves, turning even darker in the summer, then in the autumn turning red and orange. The flowers are sprigs of yellow small flowers producing wing shaped seeds in the autumn.

Norway maple do not require routine pruning, are good for screening unsightly buildings and great for avenue style planting. Consider planting alternatively with green Acer for a pleasing contrast effect. Norway maple absorbs the light and so give it plenty of space and light to show off its darker colours.
