GOAT WILLOW

PLANTS AVAILABLE FROM NOVEMBER - MARCH

The Willow (Salix) is a deciduous and dioecious shrub or tree that bears soft silvery female  and golden male catkins along its stems before the emergence of new leaves in the spring.

In winter the upward growing branches provide an attractive display.

In summer the leaves are light green and oblong in shape. Goat willow like a sunny position and  are happy on wet soils or poorer soils and are often used amongst waterside plantings.
