Midland Hawthorn - crataegus laevigata. A deciduous thorny shrub with flower in various shades of pink, adds colour and variation to a hedgerow.
Seen throughout the United Kingdom but more frequently in hedgerows in the Midlands where it is quite common
Midland Hawthorn flowers May/June and produces bright red berries in the autumn enjoyed by the birds and provides a rich habitat for wildlife.
