Thuja plicata, or western red cedar, is a forestry tree producing light durable timber and also an excellent hedging conifer. Thuja, western red cedar plants form a neat dense hedge. Thuja western Red Cedar Trees are also easier to maintain than Leylandii.as the leaves do not go brown when trimming old growth. They provide dense screening for privacy, cutting out noise levels and wind. Western red cedars will establish in any position sheltered or exposed.
